AmberMed provides outpatient medical care and medication assistance for people without insurance who are permanently residing in Austria

Our team consists of general practitioners as well as various medial specialists, available 3 times per week on Monday and Thursday mornings as well as Wednesday afternoons. On site, patients can receive medication, counseling and psychosocial crisis talks. In addition, we have external establishments to provide care in all areas that we cannot.

We provide anonymous treatment, provided that patients provide an alias, so that we can maintain an accurate medical record. We also encourage that patients leave a telephone number that they can be reached at, or the number of someone they trust, so that follow up appointments and meetings can be scheduled.

Many of our patients do not speak enough German to communicate effectively with the doctors, this is why we rely on the support of volunteer interpreters, who in addition to bypassing language barriers, also provide an understanding of the culture.
